New Delhi police reported on Wednesday that a CEO of an online shopping company, identified as Vivek Gaur, was arrested in Sector 54, Gurgaon, in connection with cheating cases. The company had raised investments from small businesses and investors in India and abroad. By sourcing raw materials from small businesses in the Delhi-NCR region and issuing cheques, the company later declared insolvency and closed down. Five complaints were filed against Gaur. He founded the online shopping company with an associate in Gurgaon in 2011, specializing in retailing garments and accessories. Gaur served as the CEO while his friend was the COO.
